Sections to be Done

Alright, so here are the sections of the Marketing Plan that we need to do.  Like the rubric, the highlighted sections are the ones that we will be presenting to the class.

I. Executive Summary (Paper 15)
Including Company Overview and 1-2 sentences of your ideas

II. A. The Marketing Environment
1.   Competitive Forces.
2.   Economic Forces.
3.   Political Forces.
4.   Legal and Regulatory Forces.
5.   Technological Forces.
      6.   Sociocultural Forces.

    B.  Current Target Market(s)
    C.  Current Marketing Objectives and Performance.

III.       SITUATION (SWOT) ANALYSIS
A.   Strengths
B.   Weaknesses
C.   Opportunities
D.        Threats

IV.       MARKETING OBJECTIVES

V.         MARKETING STRATEGIES
                A.   Marketing Mix
              1.   Product
              2.   Price.
              3.   Place/Distribution
                    4.         Promotion.
VI.       MARKETING IMPLEMENTATION

                A.   Who in the Marketing Organization will implement the plan?

                B.   What are the marketing activities they will carry out?
When will they do them?  Provide a Timetable for Completion.

Powerpoint Presentation (10 points)
1)Intro: purpose; overview
2) Body: clear; logical; relevant; familiar
3) Conclusion: effective close; able to answer questions
4) Delivery: clear slides; eye contact; body positioning; volume; gestures

That is all straight from the rubric.  So, I think the easiest way to get this done is by doing what we did with the CSR Walgreens project: dividing up the work.

Person 1: Section I & II
Person 2: Section III & IV
Person 3: Section V & VI
Person 4: Powerpoint

I will go ahead and volunteer to do sections V & VI, so I am person 3.  Please comment below and let me know which sections you want to do.  Whoever is responsible for creating the powerpoint, you will not be working on it alone.  Once the other 3 people have gathered all of their information, they can compare their notes with what the powerpoint says to make sure everything matches up.  Please feel free to contribute to someone working on different sections than you if you have an idea that would be good for them to include in their information.

Please let me know if you have any questions.  I am going to start on my two sections tomorrow night.  I would like to get the vast majority of this marketing plan done a little bit before the actual due date/presentation date so we aren't stressing the night before.

  3. Great, don't forget I'm available to answer questions. Just email me at losordoa@meredith.edu and/or atlosordo@gmail.com for questions regarding any of these sections.

I appreciate your talents in helping us develop a real marketing plan to launch the announcement of our newest features. It goes beyond just letting students know about our new features....We don't want them deleting an email like I've heard students do with Jean Jackson emails.

    Thanks,
    Amy
